About Us

Sustainable Compute Network (SCN) is a pioneering initiative aimed at transforming the future of computing by combining refurbished technology with renewable energy. Founded in 2018, SCN was born from the vision of revolutionizing access to high-performance computing while addressing the global issue of electronic waste. We are committed to building a more sustainable, environmentally responsible future for technology.

At SCN, we repurpose outdated and broken PCs, transforming them into nodes within a powerful distributed supercomputing network. This network harnesses renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, to provide affordable, eco-friendly computing solutions. Our innovative model not only reduces e-waste but also cuts down on the carbon footprint associated with traditional computing power.

Our focus is on making advanced computing more accessible and affordable for diverse industries, from research institutions and universities to small businesses. By leveraging refurbished hardware and renewable energy, SCN enables users to benefit from high-performance computing at a fraction of the usual cost.

Our Mission

Our mission is to lead the way in sustainable computing by using refurbished hardware and renewable energy to reduce e-waste and power cutting-edge technological innovation. We aim to reach 1,000 TFLOPS of distributed computing power while saving over 10,000 kg of e-waste, creating a future where high-performance computing is both accessible and environmentally friendly.

Our Vision

We envision a world where technology can grow without sacrificing the environment. By harnessing the untapped potential of discarded hardware and renewable energy, we believe that the power of computing can drive meaningful change, contribute to groundbreaking research, and solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges—all while promoting sustainability.

What We Do

Refurbish and Repurpose: We breathe new life into outdated PCs and broken hardware, extending their usefulness as part of our distributed computing network.

Leverage Renewable Energy: Solar panels, wind turbines, and other renewable energy sources power our network, reducing dependence on fossil fuels.

Promote Sustainability: By diverting e-waste from landfills and reducing the energy consumption of computing processes, we contribute to a cleaner, greener future.

Support Advanced Computing: Our network powers high-performance computing tasks, from AI training to complex simulations, for a variety of industries and research fields.

At SCN, we are driven by the belief that technology and sustainability can go hand in hand, and we’re committed to building a better future for computing, one kilowatt at a time.
